What is attractive nuisance doctrine?

A doctrine that makes people liable for negligence if they leave without care anything on their property which can attract and then prove to be dangerous for children (e.g. swimming pool). Many states are stepping away from this doctrine and are now following the rule under which a property owner is liable only if he/she could have foreseen the danger.
